Blog #1: Barbados
Barbados is an eastern Caribbean island and it's located in the Caribbean about 430km with it's being the 206th largest nation of land area. Barbados is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean.
The Island had become independent in 1966 from gaining it's sovereignty from the United Kingdom. It's also a British commonwealth nation
Barbados government is Parliamentary Democracy, (Parliament), under a constitutional monarchy, or a commonwealth realm.

English is the only language that Barbadians speak, there are probably other people who live in Barbados can speak multiple languages.
The capital of Barbados is Bridgetown, it's a cruise-ship port with colonial buildings where people from others countries can take a boat to be dropped off at Bridgetown.
In 1654 a synagogue was founded, it a place where the Jews can pray.
There are a lot of beautiful places to visit Barbados like the beaches that surrounds the island. Barbados have gardens and the Harrison's Cave formation, where tourist can visit, to see the beauty of Barbados.
Since 1639, Barbados has the third oldest parliament in the world, and uninterrupted parliamentary governance.
Barbados got it's name from the bearded fig trees once found in abundance on the island.
People who live in Barbados are called Barbadians or Bajans
